Thanks to John Moore and George Yeager for bringing this to our attention:

EBBRO is producing a die-cast metal model of the Insight. This company is well known for making very detailed models.

The Insight model will be available in three of the five current Insight colors:

Red (item #43133)
Citrus Yellow (item #43134)
Aquamarine (item #43135)

These appear to be models of the right-hand drive Japanese model Insight.

The model is 1:43 scale, making it 92mm (about 4 inches) long.

The model is to be released in Japan some time in December. The price will be 3400 yen, which is about $32 USD.

We don't yet know about availability outside of Japan. The U.S. distributor of EBBRO models is EWA (http://www.ewacars.com). They don't yet have the Insight model listed in their online catalog.
