My car didn't come with floor mats but I picked some up today at the dealer. On the dealer web site it was $25 to install. I found that a bit odd (how hard is it to lay a piece of carpet down!) but on the driver side you do actually have to cut some square holes and "C" cuts to install the anchors.
I agree with icdc, just take your time, follow the instructions, and have a sharp utility knife to make the cuts. The areas to cut are not marked, but you can feel the depressions out easily with your finger. The amount of cutting is very minimal. Don't worry if the cuts are not perfect, the anchors cover everything. Only took about 5-10 minutes to install the anchors. A flat tipped screwdriver can help with "snapping" the anchors into place. Put the screwdriver under the anchor, press down with your thumb and wait for the snap sound. Once the anchors are in place, the mat goes on top and it locks.
It your uneasy about cutting the carpet, the dealer can do it for you.
