I've been close to and over 70 a few times on my commute from Springfield MA to Hartford CT, a total of 23 miles. I have a favorable elevation going in to work. On the return sometimes I can break 60, but it is usually high 50s as the hills are against me.
Now my wife, not so good, then again she usually just drives around town with the AC blasting, I have yet to see anything over 50 from her lead foot.
The other day I was driving and her quote:
"Step on it, we're late, we don't have time to save trees."
