Honestly I have not tried that idea out,but I like it. Putting the ground wire on a switch would disable the circuit. The only thing is if you switch it while the engine is running its possible to throw a check engine light. Would have to try it and see. If the check engine light does come on you can shut the car off ,pull the ecm fuse wait a few minutes. Then replace the fuse and restart the car code or check engine light will be gone. The factory manual shows details oh which fuse to pull and how long to wait. I like that switched ground idea and may try it myself. Just for me time is short and projects don't always get done as fast as I would like. Im driving to S.C. next week to pick up molds for more fiberglass products. I am also getting 2 molds for 1/4 scale weed wacker powered R/C boats.
