The Swedish service stations that I'm familiar with have 3 pumps: diesel, E85, and 95-octane gasoline. So the only pure gasoline is high-octane, certainly not like buying U.S. regular. The current average price of 95-octane gasoline in Sweden is ~13 Swedish kronor / liter (~$6.90 / gallon). So I'm
really happy about the fuel efficiency of my Insight

Extensive public transportation and dedicated bicycle lanes and roads reduce the need for a car for daily life in much of Sweden. But it's not so easy to venture off the beaten path without a car. However, the limited range and lack of recharging stations make EV's unsuitable for traveling at this point in time. Nevertheless, I'd love to rid myself of the mechanical complexity and maintenance of an internal combustion engine.
