As first time Honda owner.....
...I'll state that Honda has really screwed up its floor mat situation. Unlike other makes, Honda dealers don't even suggest "throwing in" mats on a deal. Then the prices for mats are incredibly high if a buyer wants the factory brand. Then they don't provide security posts (my Insight came with none). Then the dealler will charge you an arm and leg to get the posts.
Taking their cue from Honda, even the aftermarket product marketers are screwed up. I bought a set of Lloyd's front rubber mats for my new Insight. Lloyd's advertises that they can be secured to the factory posts (again the Insight doesn't come with such posts)or simply be secured with Lloyd's own security hooks. They arrive with holes in the mat, but no such security hooks from Lloyds. After a month of begging for the hooks, one gets send plastic things that cannot be secured to the car floor (due to location of the front seat platforms.
Total circle-jerk on Honda's part, not to provide floor posts or hooks to the new buyer.
