I have to modify what I said before about the high pitched sound that everyone is hearing. Today, for the first time, I heard it nearly throughout, but off and on, a 45 minute commute on city streets, stop and go, traveling no faster than 45 mph. It would come on when I was up to speed then go off, and of course it stayed on once I hit the brakes for long, slow glides to the traffic signal.
But once I got onto the freeway and hit speeds above 50, I didn't hear it anymore. That is, until I got off the freeway and was doing slow braking to the stop light. Very strange.
