The whole question is whether there's a factor of a thousand floating around in the last term on the right side. I suppose I could start plugging numbers and see if the aerodynamic drag is 20 Watts instead of 20 Kw at some moderate speed. By taking the total derivative and plugging some numbers it should be possible to make some intelligent estimates about what factors have what effect at various speeds.
