Hi Guys!
I'm selling one of my 2000 5-speed insights, as I have 5 cars (2-2000 5 speed insights) currently all registered and insured and I just can't drive them all. I am the third owner of this car. It is a higher mile car (now at 170k,) but it has always been perfectly taken care of, spent most all of it's life (up to 160k) in Florida on the highway between Sarasota and Tampa. It has always been garage kept (not baked in the Fl. sun,) and has never seen a winter up here in NY (stored in my heated garage.) The car has never been in an accident, has never been repainted anywhere, I have a clean carfax for the car, clean and clear title in hand, and I have both previous owners names, addresses and contact info, so you can talk to them as well (as I did when I bought the car.) The car had a new battery put in by Honda at 135k, so that's not even an issue; it performs flawlessly. I fixed numerous small things on the car, both mechanical and cosmetic parts. Over the last 10k miles, I've averaged 67 mpg combined city and highway. Straight highway goes well into the 70's. I've pulled 82.4 mpg in the past on an 1160 mile trip. The car looks and runs perfect. EVERYTHING works as it should, including ice cold air, newer brakes, new egr valve, cleaned egr plate, new gaskets, new correct 'B' plugs, 0w-20 mobil 1 oil and filter, air cleaner, OEM correct Honda tape player re-installed, trim pieces, wipers, wiper linkages, window moldings, etc, etc, etc. All under-body panels are in place and perfect, too. As I mentioned, I'm only selling it because I have another of the exact same (which I also got from Florida,) with 45k miles (although baked for 9 years and needed a lot of attention, but now all done.) This 170k insight literally looks and performs like a 30k mile insight. Perfect high gloss original paint, nice interior, headliner, seats, etc.) I've maintained this car and done all the work on this car myself. I've also installed the throttle smoothing circuit for a bit better mpg and smoother throttle response, as well as the forced regen brake button. I have the full moon discs for the wheels as well, along with 2 remotes for the car. Many receipts too! If you don't want to spend big bucks for a low mile car, but do want an insight with the max mpg (2000 5-speed being the highest,) full history, perfectly originality, no repaint or accidents and no issues or surprises, then this is the car for you! Give me a call directly @ 716-946-6070. I'm not a dealer, just a private individual who has an obsession with these "way ahead of their time' 5-speed insights, (this being my first of three so far!) Thanks for looking! Chris PS: I'm open to a reasonable offer, as well!

Definately interested, but your father away than some other insights and yours costs more. I can't make an offer on anyones right now, but I will get back to you.
Well, the one on here in Marion county Ohio is definately closer and it is at least $1,250 cheaper. Not to mention yours has almost double the miles on it, which puts it at about half way to its death. To even consider meeting you half way, I would have to throw out $4,500 as a first guess asking price. However, I won't know my money situation for sure until early September, so, I might not have that to offer you.
$5995. No accidents, never ANY repaint, never any winters, perfectly maintained, full history of ownership including names and phone numbers, clean carfax report in hand, clean and clear title in hand, garage kept (out of the elements) it's whole life; looks, runs and drives like a 30k car, newer battery, etc, etc. Good luck finding a no surprises car that can hold up to this condition and history! I guess this is where the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true!
I believe you that it is a great car, but I don't have $6000 to offer. If I had it, I would offer it, these are great cars. I'll probably still watch your tread. Good luck selling it.
