I will be adding a OEM factory Insight CD player.

Edit: Decided not to purchase the CD player, found some old tapes to listen to instead!

Just pulled off the speaker covers today and noticed the previous owner upgraded the factory speakers with a set of Pioneer's. Nice bonus for the next buyer!

Hello. I'm in the buying process, and have been looking quite a lot, so I thought I could give some Insight... haha... ironically, I use that word a lot.

Anyhow, the car is in great condition it appears from the pics. That would be a big plus in my book. However, compared to what I've been looking at, the price is a bit steep. I'm waiting to hear back on a 2001 with a few more miles (just over 100k) for $5500, and there is another car with the same miles as yours for around a grand less.

However, these are not in your area. That's why I haven't purchased the $4600 one - I am hoping to find one locally, or I'd make the trip.

I'm not an expert, but I believe when it does sell, it'll be for under $6k. I'd definitely at least come and take a look at it if it were within 100 miles from me.

Good luck!

Thanks for your Insight. A couple things to consider about this car during your buying process. I had been looking for approx. 3-4 months before purchasing this one. These cars definetly do not dictate blue book values and are geared more towards what the market brings. Another factor is the Title. I looked at quite a few that were Salvage which in my eyes substantialy brings down the value. ( i looked at one that had a mileage brand and the owner didnt even know) My car also is completely original ( no paintwork, accidents and all matching vins) which for a 10 year old car is pretty rare. I personally can overlook a few scratches and chips rather than having a car thats been repainted. And finaly my car has never seen winters or salt. Big factor especially when working under the hood! So i will leave you by saying beware of CHEAP prices because theres probably more than meets the eye, especially with mechanical repairs.

Now that I've checked out an '01 in person for $5500, I'd say that what you're asking is pretty fair if it looks as good in real life as it does in pictures.

Good luck with the sale - if you were closer, I'd definitely come and take a look!

Im glad you checked a few out and saw whats out there for the price. Im not saying mine is perfect by any means, but it is 10 years old now so for its age im pretty happy with it. It's frustrating looking for such a specific car and finding one in good condition especially with such limited availibility. I eventually realized that my hopes of a specific color in my price range and condition werent going to happen so i had to become realistic. Keep looking and im sure you will find something that works for you.

Just updated the details on the first page. Just received paperwork today from Honda verifying the IMA battery assembly was replaced at 65,231 miles. Gives those interested buyers some peace of mind knowing they wont be shelling out big bucks!
