Default 2000 Citrus MT (Ireland/UK Sale) 59k miles - UK Honda Owned!

A VERY Reluctant Sale here, If its not gone within a week, I will probably keep it for another year. Situation is my Wife is due in September (yeay!), she wants a HRV and is selling her 2002 Jazz to get it. I've spent the last week getting the dents out, valeting, servicing and fixing the water leak in the car. Its come up brand new and as the car has been owned since new in our family, I would be mad to sell it for buttons. I will need a bigger car come September (ish) anyway. So If I can sell my car quick, I will buy hers.

So, its a 2000 MT Citrus Yellow, originally owned by Honda UK for 1 year, then sold to Universal Honda (distributors) here in Ireland. They owned it until July 2009 when I finally convinced them to sell it to me. I had been driving it for around 18 months prior to that with their permission (my dad runs the joint). They kept it in the basement and rarely used it. I have an NCT(MOT) cert from about 2 years back showing circa 30k miles. Since then I have it up to 59k miles. For the Irish Market, its got a 2 year NCT and 3 months tax. For the UK Market, as it was originally a UK car, I dont think you will have to pay import duty? I have both sets of keys and the UK Reg number is still written on one of them on the Honda UK tag.

History wise, its had the following recently;

Jan 10 - Engine Oil Change, Gearbox Oil Change
Sept 09 - 4 new Michelin Energy Tyres fitted (185's)
Jun 09 - Pollen Filter
Feb 09 - New Discs, New Pads, Air Filter, Engine Oil Change, Rear brakes adjusted
Dec 08 - New EGR valve fitted

I have a new fan belt, new Idler and Plugs on the way to be fitted.

Prior to that, I had given it one quick oil change in 2008, and before that, whilst Honda had changed the oil and checked it over, they never stamped the book, but needless to say, it was looked after while in their posession.

In the past 18 months I have fitted

S2000 Leather Steering Wheel
HID headlamps
EVERY Bulb bar indicators were changed to LED's
Flat Wipers
I spent 2 weeks sound deadening
Civic Type-R Replica 5 speed gear knob
2 sets of OEM Floor Mats, one for show, one for daily use
4 Brand New Wheel Centres

Scangauge II
Rad Block
Hot Air Mod
Grid Charger
TPS Mod (on Switch)
Regen Switch
IMA Switch

Pioneer CD/MP3/Aux Input Head Unit
Alpine front Components
Rear Speaker Kit from USA & Infinity Co-axial speakers (to be fitted)

Bad Points:

Two dents on rear 3/4 panel. Having seen a guy take dents out of my wifes car, I think they could be taken out
Rear Pass skirt has VERY minor scratching. Its only noticeable right up close
Front Suspension Squeek is apparent going over ramps
Battery is original and 10 years old, but with the Grid Charger it should help. Re-Cals are every 4-5 days, but I only used the Charger once for 16 out of 24 hours so far.
Valves need adjusting, its a bit tappety in the morning. I just havent gotten around to it yet.
Wider tyres have hurt economy, but the trade off with much more surefootedness in the wet was worth it.

The LMPG is 70+mpg, Im sure If I tried harder and got down from 70mph these days, I could get 75mpg no problems.

If it doesnt shift v soon (before the wifes car) I will hang onto it, no point selling it if its not for something as good as what she is selling. I will just have to manage for a few months with just one car with 5 seats.

Thanks for looking

I can be contacted on 087-660777 in Ireland or 00-353-87-6607777 outside of it or mailed on jf_cole@yahoo.com

Pics to follow. I reckon its worth €4,250 all day long. No Offers.

Cheers Enda, As you can see you cant really see the scrapes on the passenger skirt, just trying to be as honest as possible.

Scrapes aren't really of much concern to me, given the passenger-side damage my current car has taken. (none of which was mine, I swear)

I would not hesitate to buy this if it were in the US.

Does anyone know how much it would cost or what the process would entail to have this car imported?
