Default 2010 Insight Front Dash Tweeters w/adapters

Well, My car was totaled last week and I pulled the tweeters out with the bracketing I made out of delrin plastic (Acetal). So if someone would like these tweeters with adapeters they are yours. The Infinity Kappa 10.9t speakers have been modified to fit into the plastic housing I made. These come with crossovers. Tweeters alone were over 100.00

Infinity Kappa 10.9t 1" textile dome tweeters at Crutchfield.com

You will have to mount the speaker/adapter to your tweeter grills, pretty easy though. They will be a little tight going in, but they will fit. Sound is exceptional.

Tweeters, crossovers and Adapters- $125.00

Default How much cutting needed

Can you provide some more detail on how much the car has to be cut to fit these in? Also, do they just plug in to the existing wires at the A-pillar, or are other wiring mods needed?

The speaker grill containing the OEM tweeter on your car would be removed. Then remove the existing speaker from the grill (In real small print it will tell you which side is -/+). Then drill 3 small holes at the bottom of the grill to hold the adapters I made (sounds a little confusing, but when you receive the old grills that I have and the adapters/new tweeters you will see it is very easy). The existing wire connection plug that goes to the OEM tweeters has to be cut off. Then wires would be run from those wires to the crossover, then crossover to the tweeters. I ended up shaving off a small amount of dash under the lip of the speaker grill to get the adapter and new tweeter in. the amount shaved off with a utility knife does not show when everything is put back together. If you are pretty handy, this should not be that difficult. I think I have covered everything. If someone would want these and are local to me (Cecil county MD/Delaware) I would help with the install. Want any more info via phone: PM me and I will give out my phone number. Thanks for inquiring.
