01 Honda Insight MT - 56K Original Miles. New Battery!

2001 Honda Insight. 5 Speed manual Transmission, Power Windows, Door locks, Air Conditioning, and....70+ MPG!. This Insight is in excellent cond and only has 56,000 Original Miles on it!

I'm the second owner of this car, the original owner was an older couple who rarely drove it, it sat in the garage most of the time. Because it sat so long the original hybrid battery went bad and Honda replaced the battery with a new one under warranty. The new battery was installed by the Honda Dealer on 11/06/09! Also has the updated battery control module and computer from Honda as well. I do have the paperwork from Honda showing the battery install ect.

I installed a Sony Bluetooth stereo system, you can connect your phone to the radio and talk right through the speakers hands free, there is a remote mic set up on the drivers side sun visor. You can also link up your Ipod to the unit and it will control/charge it right through the radio. Works great! I also installed 4 upgraded Polk Audio speakers in the original holes, looks stock but sounds worlds better! It also comes with the original radio as well.

This is the second Insight that I have owned, I searched for a long time to find this one. Unfortunately I have a three year old son now and I thought I could get away with a two person car to use as my work commuter vehicle, as it turns out I really need a 4 person/4 door car so the Insight will have to go.

That means that Honda already replaced it in the future! Just joking.....Unless you somehow mean 2006, I think that you really mean the battery was replaced in November 2009!

How complete is the underside plastic and aluminum shieldong? Any rain leaks in roof, flor, or atround doors? Ed Clement, near SF CA

The underside of the car is super clean and 100% complete. Absolutely no water leaks, I've driven the car from Northern CA to WA in the rain and it has sat outside in the parking lot at work and got poured on a couple times, no leaks, wet seat belts ect. My first insight always had wet seat belts so I was paying close attention to this one when it rained.

Looks nice, but a 13 hour drive home isn't possible for a few weeks. I'll check back in a bit to see if it is still for sale.
