Default looking for 1st gen near houston

been lurking for about two weeks, been semi looking for a more gas efficient car

im looking for a first gen insight
prefer less than 100k miles on it
A/C and MT a must, Houstons hot and i love me some MT

im willing to drive quite a ways, but all the cars for sale are on the opposite side of the US (Maine, Washington, Cali, etc )

i have a 2005 mazda3 that i might be willing to trade if you have a real beauty

im still not 100% sure about buying an insight, but i do want to see whats available

thanks guys

its good to see one more from Houston interested in a Insight. I had to get my 02 MT from Louisiana. Check ebay/autotrader/crazedlist.org

There is a really clean one for sale in spring, but its a CVT.

O2, do you have a contact number or other info on the Insight in Spring??? I got both my 01 and 02 from Houston. I have lost the tranny on my 02 so I am looking for another Insight. Thanks for all your help, Bill in Texarkana......

Default insight search

BTSS-

Finding an Insight can take some time. If you are serious, you will find one, but it may take some time/travel. The best thing to do would be to test drive one first, to see if you are actually interested. I would bet you can find one for sale at a dealership somewhere in your area. This is a very unique (odd, quirky, interesting, wonderful) vehicle and is not for everyone. So, test drive one. If you can't find one for sale close by, I would find a private owner and ask him/her about their car. I'd bet they would love to tell you about it and will probably take you for a spin, and let you drive as well.

You may have luck searching at cars.com, autotrader.com, ebay.com, and even search ALL of craigslist at craigslist tips

Best of luck

Thanks JKB.... I actually have been driving them since 01. I own an 01 and 02. My problem is that my 02 has lost a tranny and I am looking for another Insight to replace her for now. I cant deside to attempt to fix the 02 tranny myself (cant afford to have someone else do it) or to get another 1st Gen or go with a new 2010. I just dont want to put out the kind of money they want for a 2010. Thanks for all your input......... Bill in Texas
