Default Silver 2000 Insight with A/C - 5 Speed - 93k Miles

I picked up a new-to-me Insight (that I had posted to resell - Its red with only 32k miles on it) and I think I've fallen in love with it. I'll probably end up selling my silver one, also a 2000 model with a 5spd manual and A/C. It has 93k miles (approximately - I have it at home at the moment and I'm out of town right now). I bought it from a private owner in August of 2007 with 52k miles. I flew to CO to get it and drove it back to TN. This Insight has the 4 speaker stereo (the rear two were an unusual option) and keyless entry (with three keys and 2 remotes).

It has been a great car for me. It got new batteries in May of 2008 at about 80k miles (installed at Crest Honda in Nashville). It has spent most of the last year in the garage as my job now requires me to drive over 30k miles/year in the company car (if only they'd pay the $0.55/mile on my Insight!). I always use Mobile1 Full Synthetic 0w20 oil and change it every 3-4k miles. It got new shocks and struts (Honda OE parts) in 2008 (at about 85k miles). I put new spark plugs in it back in March and it got new tires then as well. It has never been involved in an accident and has a clean carfax. I have a clean and clear TN title in hand. The previous owner installed a rock shield (the clear film) on the hood and mirrors. I would probably give it a 9 out of 10 on the condition inside and out. Most of the maintenance has been done at either Crest Honda in Nashville, TN or Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN.

The only modification I did was to install a material much like Dynamat on the floor, in the doors, and the trunk. It took about 3 days worth of work and about $500 worth of material, but it is quieter now. The doors have a more solid feel when you open and close them too.

As I've looked at private sales online, I think I can get about $9000 for this car. When gas was $4/gal, I could've gotten $17k for it, but I was loving the gas savings! Its so much fun to pull up next to a big SUV, put a few dollars in to fill up the tank, and drive away as their gas bill goes well over $60!

If you have a very old, worn out Insight, I'd consider working that in as a partial trade - I want to convert it to a series hybrid or fully electric. Bad engine/trans/battery are ok - I have a trailer and can tow it.

Hopefully I'll be able to post a picture or two later this weekend. PM me if you're interested.
