Default Looking for 2004 silver right side window trim..

I got caught in a bad windstorm in Chicago today and the right side trim above the window blew off and was run over by the car behind me on the interstate. Does anyone have any ideas where I would find a replacement piece for this? What is this piece of trim called? I live near Nashville, TN. It seems to snap out of place very easily too =(

I'm going to use my prophetic abilities now... ok, just kidding, but I think I know exactly why this happened. Did you have your windshield replaced or any body work on parts near there? Any time that A-Pillar post molding is removed it breaks all 8 of those plastic tabs leaving only the 7 metal alignment tabs holding the molding on. Whoever took that pillar post molding off chose not to replace the molding. If it was a windshield repair company or a body shop I would highly recommend going after them to replace that part.

The bad news is that it's very likely your other molding is going to do the same thing unless you replace those tabs. It's also bad news is that even majestic honda charges $210 for this part new (Honda Automotive Parts). The other bad news is that this part comes prepainted from the factory which means that the paint won't 100% match what you have on the car and since it's plastic and the surrounding parts are aluminum you won't likely find a body shop that can get it closer.

OK, now for the good news: There are some guys here in this buy/sell forum that own wrecking yards and have a lot of Insights in stock and may be able to help you out. Email this guy: Brent Springer (pgthexenon at gmail dot com). I just bought a bunch of misc parts that I'm needing from him and he's given me some very good prices. You will need to order the replacement tabs. I would highly recommend taking the car to the dealer and showing them which tabs you need (there are 8 per side), because otherwise they will likely order the metal ones that need the rivets and you don't want those. I'm about 80% its part number 29 on the link I sent you above, but don't quote me on it.

EDIT: I know this stuff because last month I had my windshield replaced and the clown didn't replace those tabs so I lost both A-Pillar Post moldings
