Citrus Yellow (Green) with 147500 miles. This car has an overall lifetime MPG of 66.9. It normally gets between 63 and 70 miles per gallon, depending on your driving habits. It easily cruises at 75 miles per hour and has no trouble passing cars or keeping up with traffic.
It is somewhat faded on the roof and hood from the Arizona sun but really looks great. No major dents or blemishes, just regular dings that a ten year old car has. The interior is in good shape.
The IMA battery was replace at 92000 and all updates and recalls have been done on this car. Regular oil changes have been done with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. New struts were put on recently.
I am selling it because I bought another 2000 insight with only 20000 on it and want to start all over. I LOVE THIS CAR.
Just to let you know you are going to loose your AZ "Clean Air" plate when you sell this one. My Prius got totalled in June so I took the Clean Air plate with me to the DMV when I went to get plates for the Gen1 Insight I bought thinking I could transfer it. The plate is non-transferable, i had to put regular plates on the Insight which bummed me out because I could no longer drive by myself in the car pool lane.
To bad I just bought my Insight, your car is looks in pretty good shape, I ended up flying to Nebraska to get my car.
I am interested in purchasing it. But I have to figure out how I would get it here. Most likely, would take a plane trip, and drive it back.
It is drivable right? No error codes, etc?

I was just in Benson last weekend, pulled into Wal-Mart and was suprised to see an Insight for sale. Decided to take a look at it after shopping and pulled up to look at it, soon as I saw the turtles on the back and the green steering wheel wrap I knew it was the same car. To bad I just bought my Insight from a guy in Nebraska 3 months ago or I would have considered this one. Good looking car though.
i'm brand new to the board after reaching my personal tipping point. i now have a job where i need to commute 50 miles RT (up from 2 miles RT) and for numerous reasons need a more fuel efficient car.
i'm a regular on the subaru ('93 turbo legacy BC) and the nissan Z forums ('86 300zx turbo) and have learned it's better to buy a car from forums than the open market. while i've done everything i can to eke out mileage on my turbo'd cars, the cost of 93 RON while getting 25mpg highway is insane and not helping the environment. back in the bay area, i could casual carpool commute to work and didn't even own a car for over a decade...
so, if anyone has a lead on this or another G1 insight, feel free to contact me. i am prepared to make a purchase and only need the clean, well maintained car to buy.
This was listed over 6 mo ago. I very highly doubt it's still for sale, considering his reasonable asking price.
