Default First Gen (1999-2006) Coilovers for sale>>>

***new price $250***

I'm getting a company Civic NGV so I no longer need to have a daily driver that I maintain. I'm putting my car back to stock and giving it to my Dad. The first part to go will be the coilovers. These were a custom job by Ground Control. They now offer these for $400. The car has a 1.5" drop. I did this for aero efficiency. The frontal area dropped and with my heavy foot (I am not a hyper miler, just a conscious driver) I still noticed a 3 mpg gain. The ride is firmer than stock. It has the suspension of a tighlly dampened sports car (S2000-ish). This is just for the coilover conversion (front & rear springs and sleeves). I'm leaving my OEM shocks and struts on the car. I will sell these coilovers for $250.

In the pictures there is a measuring tape on the road for ground clearance reference.

Let me know if you have and questions.

Thanks,
Jeff

will these fit over where the old springs were in the stock struts without modification?

Were these custom made, or were they designed for some other car but modified to work on the insight?

Do you have any pic of the back ones... Thanks

Like your front wheel moons. What did you use? Where'd you get them? Thanks.

I attached the picture of the rear.

These coilovers will fit over our stock struts with no modifications. The fronts had a custom upper mount made, the springs are Eibachs (picked for this car), and the coilover collars are off the shelf.

I picked up the moons at some hot rod shop online. I totally forgot where though. I just can't believe they made them in 13".

Thanks for racking your brain anyhow on where you got the moon style wheel covers. I'll check online.

Yes, I have a set of Honda VX alloys. I use them with winter tires. They work very well here in our Ohio winter snow. Tires are 155/80/13's.

Did you do any camber adjustment? Or did you happen to get a measurement after you installed them?

The negative camber from dropping the car could likely help MPG, as a little less tire would be touching the ground in a straight line.

Any noticeable camber wear? How long did you use them for?

The car was aligned to factory specs. I had over 7,500 on this setup with no unordinary tire wear.

rayholan,
I can sell you the two I have. Let me know if you are interested.
