I wonder what happened with the drivers-side mirror, looks like it was smacked by something.
Looking at the odometer results, it being handled by a dealer with fees with an amount that isn't even disclosed. He says it 'broke down a few weeks back', but it was acquired by auction and has a huge odometer discrepancy with no explanation. The interior looks more like the larger number of the two.
Even for the current price it's going for I'd be afraid to buy it but with a new engine and possibly whatever else it needs, mirror, repaint of bottom door trim, polish the headlights, take care of the battery if it requires it(probably will).
It seems to be a cheap way for someone to get into an Insight for under a grand(depends on final selling price of course) if they are willing to buy one with 355k and can find a deal deal on a new engine and can work on the car themselves and deal with any issues it might have that this dealer doesn't want to bring up. At this mileage not running could be engine seizure, overheating, burned out ECM, busted timing chain, no compression, lots of possibilities. Many of these engines last a long time, hard to know how it was used/abused and if the maintenance was in check.
