WANTED: Citrus Yellow Insight

Would greatly appreciate help on the search for the ever-elusive 2000 Citrus Yellow Honda Insight. I've got a 2000 Silverstone Metallic with 82,000 miles that is the best car I have ever owned, and would like to give it a garage mate. Located in Vermont, but could travel.

You should try crazedlist.org : search craigslist like a madman

You have to use Firefox and follow the instructions on the page, but it can definitely help. It lets you search all craigslist listing across the country without having to go to each individual one. I recommend searching for "Insight" but setting a max price lower than like $10k, so the new Insights don't muck up your results.

Gee thanks a lot Artric! Now I am totally addicted to Crazedlist. This seems like the best way to find one, though I've been searching for a few weeks now and haven't seen one. Appreciate the help, keeping eyes vigilantly posted. The search is part of the fun!

Sign up for email alerts on Insights at Oodle.com. You can specify year, price, distance from you. There isn't a selection for yellow or citrus but green is an option. You'll get an email whenever it finds your selection available from any number of sources.

Just missed a low mileage citrus yellow on Craigslist in the Boulder, Colorado area. I think I missed it by a day. Was a bit out of my price range anyhow and I've learned it's important to act quickly!

I've been looking hard for a citrus too. I called on this one in CA. It seems fairly decent, (but with a 12" long "slight" crease in the passenger door, and "some overspray" on the lower front black before-the-wheel spoilers, according to the owner) but is too far away for me to look at, let alone pay an additional $1200 in shipping (to NY.) If you're searching craigslist, skip the one in Carollton, GA, I just called on it and it is a whacked and repaired, resprayed silver car (now sprayed and advertised as citrus...) That's all that's out there in citrus right now......

A friend of mine was looking for one. It took me about 2 years to find him a nice one.
HE bought one last year. 97K miles for $7K. Its not perfect original but clean re-spray
on about 1/2 the car. That color is quite amazing.

They comeup for sale now and again. I have never seen one for sale recently with
real low mileage.
