Default Parting out a 2000 Insight

I'm parting out this 2000 Insight:

It is a 5 speed with 164K miles.

Major items no longer available:

IMA battery is gone (natch)

Exhaust is gone

Both fenders are broken as are the headlights.

Transmission has a puncture hole in the front of the case (toward the passenger side of the car, so that may be the bellhousing?) There is no synchro problem and it shifts very smoothly.

Intake manifold is broken

Radiator and fan are damaged

Windshield is broken due to airbag deployment, so seatbelts are shot.

Rear bumper cover is gone.

Tires and rims are sold.

Plastic trim piece next to driver door window has been removed.

Contact me here or at repair@hybrid-battery-repair.com

Is the drivers side seat cover without any rips?

You made it seem like they aren't too hard to swap. If its in good enough shape to be washed to look mostly new, I'll take it because I'd rather not see the yellow foam and white netting inside my seat.

Yup. $50 removed and packed in a nice small light box for shipping. $15 shipping to Minnesota. You need something like this to put them back on.

Default Zip Ties

I've had very good luck using small zip ties instead of hog rings. You don't have to buy the installation tool and I've never run a zip tie into my finger!

- steering wheel (I don't need the deployed airbag, but the surrounding wheel, and should have MINIMAL wear)

- driver side door sill and clips (long plastic piece with the word "Insight" molded into it; should only have minor scrapes)

- small circular garnish that goes directly around the climate control knob to indicate what temperature you are on

- driver and passenger side B-pillar-mounted seat belt covers

- clips that attach carpet to dead pedal

- Driver and passenger small black plastic caps which cover the screw on the interior door handles

- interior rearview mirror (must have no peeling at edges)

- rubber brake pedal cover for clutch and brake (manual transmission)

- lower plastic intake box with both long metal clasps that have the two small plastic clips to affix upper airbox

- bolt and bracket (visible when looking down at engine) that attach the lower airbox to the chassis on the driver side of the car

The seat cover is good. It just needs a wash in the washing machine. (Air dry not tumble.)

I had a heavy booster pack sitting on the seat, so that's what that square indentation is.

Got the door sill, but the clips are shot. Just get them at your local parts store. Do you need both sills?

I think that is part of the dash panel, so you'll need the entire thing.

Got them. They're perfect.

I can't find the mirror, but I didn't move all the parts (it's raining here). I'll look another time.

They have some wear. Do you want them?
