INSIGHT WANTED portland, or will travel 5sp 4-5k pricerange

I live in camas, wa 10 miles from portland, or. I can come to you if you live elsewhere. I am looking for something in the 4000-5000 price range. I have loved the look of the rear of this car for a long time, but never needed the mileage. I need it now. I have done my research and fell in love with the first gen insight. If you do have something give me a PM, I am ready to purchase ASAP.

I dont have one for sale, but I live in Hockinson area and am watching all the time for them. I'll let you know if I find one and you let me know if you get one. I drive a red 2000 MT and I've seen a blue one on 164th 2X and a red one around Home Depot on Andreson. Haven't met either owner. I understand a HS student drives a silver one in Battle Ground area.

The blue one in Beaverton is out of your price range, but I suspect it is a really nice car and might be worth a conversation. I bought mine in FL last july for $4500 w/81K. It was an exceptional buy.

I appreciate it. If you are talking about the MC Blue one in hillsboro, I have talked with him, in fact he is a board member and has it posted here as well as CL. It is indeed out of my price range. It is beautiful though, he will sell it, I wish it was to me. I know in vancouver there was a russian cat that had a salvage title light blue one that he was asking 4k OBO for and I thought about it back then but I still wanted luxury and comfort over anything else.
I can't wait for the day that i will be one of the mythical insight owners.

There should be something out there for 4k, 5k. Salvage title, small dent somewhere. I have had zero luck.

I've never been able to sell a car between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I've made my best purchases this time of year. I've noticed a lot fewer for sale lately. I don't know how far you are willing to travel, but assume you are watching ebay? 3 sold today cheap, but they each had issues and none were close to you. Also use one of the search engines for Craigslist and Auto Trader that looks nationwide or whatever area you want. I use AutoTempest - Find your next car... Faster.. I don't know why I keep looking. I don't need another one, but I will buy one if the deal is good or tell you about it.

I think I might be buying one from Hybrid-Battery. he has one with some miles. I will have to have it shipped from NY but overall it is in my price range.

I wish their was a cheaper way then a shipping company, 6k miles is a hell of a road trip, right car for it i guess.
