Default Scangauge 2 wanted!

I could use another scangauge 2, if anyone has a decent one reasonably priced. Thanks!

You cann have more than 1 in each vehicle. You can hook them in parallel to get double the read outs too.

Would this be an alternative? It is quite a bit cheaper:

That's cool - I had no idea. But for the price - what do you really need to know beyond what you can fit into the four spaces? We already have a more accurate MPG gauge built into the car.

I guess it's neat to have TONS of data, but is it all useful?

Not so much for the Insight but certainly for other vehicles. I know one Ford Escape Hybrid driver down in Florida who uses two to keep track of temperatures, state of charge for his battery, throttle position, etc. I know of a Prius driver who does much the same, though he also has inverter temps and amps listed (it's a second generation Prius -- there are a lot of XGauges figured out for that vehicle).

It makes more sense for those vehicles than the first gen Insight -- partly because the fuel economy calculations of the SG can be more accurate than the built in FCD and partly because they depend heavily on certain parameters being held steady for efficient modes (tach level, ign timing, load values, and state of charge -- warp stealth and "super highway" mode are two examples requiring a close eye on many variables). The first gen Insight (lean burn model) can't make much use of the ScanGauge FE readout because it is based on calculations relying on pulled into the engine and an assumed fixed air to fuel ratio.

For non-lean burn honda hybrids there is more reason to have those extra gauges available.

No, I don't need two scan gauges for one vehicle. One isn't enough when you have 3 gen 1 insights! I really don't like trying to move it from one vehicle to another....
