Hello,

It's actually John Wayland...long story short, had to make up a name before I could register with my current email. Some might remember me from the ShoeBox Subwoofer days and or my car on the cover of Car Audio and Electronics magazine.

I am the original owner of this 2000 Insight that has 45,000 miles on it, so the engine runs as new. The IMA controller and battery pack have only 4000 miles on them, as they were replaced under warranty in 2006 at 41,000 miles. The car has obviously not been driven much since!

Taking offers on everything except the cpu which I will keep in the car for the full electric conversion. Going for 400+ miles highway range with a 71.5 kWh LiPol pack and a genuine EV1 AC induction motor.

I am entertaining offers.

Good luck with the sale and keep us posted with your EV conversion. Full details please!! Where did you get an EV1 motor? What batteries are you using etc etc.

Hi John, nice to hear your voice. This is Kenny Smith in Brush Prairie, the guy with the 54 Ford Sedan Delivery with skirts. I've been driving a red 2000 Insight for the past 9 months and hanging out around here. Anxious to see your project. Wish I could find a car to put your running gear in.
