2004 Insight for sale

Excellent running car. Looks practically new. It has 180,000 miles on it but don't let that scare you. I've commuted 125 miles per day on open roads with very little stop-n-go for the past five years. There is nothing wrong with car, I'm just ready for something new. Currently only averaging 47 mpg because I put crappy tires on it that aren't Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) and are a little wider than stock. Put the right size LRR tires back on it and you'll be back to normal. I averaged 57 mpg when the outside tempurature was above about 45 degrees F. 54 mpg when air temp was below 45. But then again I drove it like a normal car. I was never into optimizing my fuel economy. I've performed all maintenance regularly. I've set the sale price below the listed KBB Good value because I'm fair minded and I know you'll have to put a little money in it as it's coming up on the 200,000 mile service and it will need tires and brakes (it still has the original brakes on it!). The transmission and electric motor was replaced at 105,000 and the IMA was replaced at 110,000. The car has never been wrecked but the drivers door was repaired after my daughter got up against a post. I travel frequently and can't always access my email. My cell is 812-703-3131. I decided to purchase this car within minutes of it being listed here It was exactly as described....looks beautiful and runs great as well. The door repair had the outer skin replaced so it looks original. I did change the front brake pads and that was all that I needed to do to pass inspection (besides remove some side window tint per New Hampshire law).

I was just going to buy it as a spare parts car for the future but it is in too good of condition to just let it sit so it is registered and on the road.

It just so happens that John (the owner) was traveling to the northeast (MA near the NY border) within a few days of him listing the car for sale so I only had to drive 3.5 hours each way to pick it up so that was much better than driving all the way to Indiana (but I would be willing to do that as well).... So instead of flying to MA, John was very nice and offered to drive the car from IN to MA and then fly back.

I think it was a great deal
