Default WTD:- G1 Insight Manual Gearbox

Looking for a manul gearbox for the Insight to rebuild so I can swap the box out that's already in the car leaving it immobile for the shortest possible time.

Anybody got anything please?

I have a 2001 MT with ~160K miles, that was removed in an engine swap a few months ago. If you are interested, please send a PM with an offer.

It's rebuilt (ie new ISB and seal). However for your own peace of mind i suggest you investigate the red car in the breakers yard and buy the engine gearbox combo and swap/rebuild it as reqd.

Search on here/e-bay for the details in the for sale section.

sorry, i dont mean to hijack the thread, but I was just wondering, you didnt replace any synchros as part of the rebuild? I thought the 1-2gear synchros are pretty common to wear out, and if I were to have a transmission opened up, I would replace those as well just to be safe. thanks

Perhaps one our friendson the other side of the pond could price up the syncros for us from the U.S.

May be cheaper to get somebody to send them over
