I am selling my 2001 Red Honda Insight, stick shift in the chicagoland area. Asking for (Price Drop) $9000 OBO, really want this car to go to somebody who is going to love it. I am the original owner with about 57k miles on it and an lifetime mpg of 54.5. The car has never been in an accident and the IMA battery (along with all the bits) is being replaced by the dealership as I type this (one month left in my 10 year warranty). The tires were replaced a couple of years back and still have plenty of tread on them.
The car has been garage kept and never smoked in. There are no mechanical issues with it and I have done most of the oil changes personally. I would say the condition is near perfect with only a little sign of aging on some trim paint.
Additionally the car has a John Wayland Shoebox sub installed, with a JVC arsenal (plays MP3 CD's) stereo and I also replaced the front speakers (and added backs).

The pictures are from when I bought it....I'll post recent ones when I get the car back from the dealership later today. But wanted to get this up to see if anyone was interested in it. I'm selling the car for two reasons mainly. First is that I don't drive it very much at all (as you can tell by the 57k miles) and the second is I have three kids now and because I can't put any of them in it I need a car we can split up and run errands in. I love the car and would drive it for the next 10 years if it wasn't for this.
I'm going to see if the dealership will give me a fair price for it but honestly I'd rather the car go to somebody who loves Insights as well and thought this might be the place to find that person.
