2000 gen 1 insight, RED, FL $5500

Hey All, <edit: SOLD!> leaving post up for reference, but car is spoken for.

sad day, but due to unemployment and a bit of crisis, my gen 1 insight is up for sale. it will go on ebay soon, but i wanted to give the real fans a shot first.

over all in good shape, needs paint touch up on roof and hood, some stains in seats, a few body scars, no dents though. Excellant mechanical condition!

there is a loan lien that will have to be settled of about 2k, but it should only take a week or so once payment is made to get the title.

included is a nice , age appropriate clarion axr stereo system with 12 disc changer, analog tv tuner box, and aux input box. has casette in head unit, and I find its a better stereo than most that are offered today. has two boston accustics speakers in the doors, just needs two more for the back, already wired in to the stereo for it.

car is located in Port Saint Lucie, FL ,34983 about an hour north of the West Palm Beach international Air port.

Answers to some common questions Ive been getting:

1. Yes, paint on hood and roof is poor and sun faded, it can be detailed to look a bit better, but it really needs a repaint to be right. I am selling it as is and not attempting to hide, or dismiss the issue, I dont want there to be any surprises. Remember, it lives in florida, sun fade goes with the territory.

2. Yes, there is "some" negotiating room, the worst I can do is decline the offer right?

3. As far as I am aware, I am the SECOND owner, and this insight was originally purchased very near me in Ft.Pierce, Fl, and maintained at that same dealership until I bought it for almost twice what i am asking.

4. I was told the clutch was replaced shortly before i purchased it, but have no documentation to support it. the pedal seems a little soft, but always has, as ive always driven cars with "racing" clutches. i havent had any problems shifting.

5. there is no rust that i am aware of, no leaks, and it is in excellent tune.

6. you have to "wiggle" the dash buttons a little to change dash display modes, no different than most other gen ones out there.

7. there are some holes in the console and lower dash from mounting screws from a car puter and some other equipment, i have removed most of it.

8. I have the factory stereo and speaker grills and they are included with the car. ill gladly pull the clarion and keep it if you dont want it, but that will leave a sizable hole in the hatch where the cd changer lives.
