I agree and I anguished over it for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately this car would only make "fair", even after a lot of work. The wheels are scruffy, the headlight lenses muddy and discoloured, the door hinges sagged and rust on all the steel, in particular the brake and fuel lines. They must use a lot of salt in Quebec (maybe that's why the bridges to Montreal Island are always under repair). Even the tires are poor - they are the cheapest and the wrong size - Canadian Tire (aka Crappy tire) Motomaster. Ugh!
There's more bad stuff too. The front end has been hacked (literally) to mount a towbar system, the bumpers and spats are poor... well, you get the idea.
Actually, it may not go to the crusher. I have the chassis listed in an Acura racing group. The fellow that put it up for me used to be an Insight Central contributor with the unpronouncable Spanish name Guillermo Aristizabal (Gee for short) He's the guy on you tube racing his Insight at Shannonville here in Ontario.
Will be getting back to everyone in the next day or two.
