Default Suggestions for transporting my Insight from Montreal?

Hi folks,
I recently bought a Citrus MT Insight that's in Montreal, and I need to get it to St. Paul. I'm looking into flying to Montreal and driving back (1200 miles!). Plus side of this is that I'll get to know my new Insight well on the drive back. I'm open to other suggestions, though, since I know many of you have gone to a lot of trouble to transport your cars. I'll post more info. on my car once I've got it.

Thanks!

Congrads on the purchase fellow MN'er. I just bought my first G1 last month lucky right in Ramsey. I've looked at shipping vs fly and drive. I have heard fairly good things about Auto Transport | Car Shipping | Free Vehicle Shipping Quotes - Dependable Auto Shippers. Downside to almost any shipping Co. it will take almost 2 weeks to get home. I'd recomend if you can take the time have fun and drive it home as you come out almost the same as having it shipped. Enjoy the car and let me know if you have any questions. I work in Plymouth. Not sure how tech/car savy you are but they cars are fun and easy to work on. Lot of good posts in the insightcentral for how to do the big items. At this point I haven't found anything too hard to tackle.

Enjoy,
Brent

Thanks Brent. Nice job on finding a G1 here in MN. Where did you find it? I was looking locally in May and June, but bought a MT Civic hybrid when I didn't find an Insight that I liked. So I essentially stopped looking in July and August. Then the bug bit again. Now I need to sell the Civic and pick up the Insight. Thanks for the tip on the shipping co. I'll check them out.

cheers,
-Paul

I also recommend just driving it home if you can find the time. It will be far cheaper than having it transported.

Then again I can drive 1200 miles straight through without so much as a yawn.. YMMV.

I'll fly into Montreal next Saturday and drive back. I suspect I'll have a few yawns on the way back
