Default FS: Citrus 2000 5MT Insight (Central Maryland) - $6300

SOLD 10/23/2011---
2000 Insight 5MT Citrus, $6300, located in central Maryland.

Open to feedback on price, either direction!

In service early 2001. I purchased this Insight in November 2006, with 62,803 miles. Now (as of 10/8/2011) has about 122,670 miles, but car is still in use so miles will be higher somewhat. This is my daily commuting car. Car is overall in good condition, but has some minor nicks, scratches, etc. expected for its age. LMPG 59.2 on 185/60s.
PLUSES: Overall good condition, reasonable miles, always garaged. Good IMA battery. Citrus. Winter wheels/tires included. XM.
MINUSES: Needs (summer) tires (your choice). Occasional water leak into cargo compartment.
PHOTOS: Some below, more at: Insight - Duane Schmidt's Photos

- IMA battery pack and battery control module replaced by Honda under warranty at 101,536 miles, 12/07/2009 (had code P1447). I believe warranty on replacement has expired, but IMA is functioning well after two years and 22,000 miles; should be good for a few years.
- EGR valve replaced 6/2007 at approx. 70,000 miles (have original).
- Rear hatch supports replaced 08/2009.
- collision with a small deer; body professionally repaired 11/2007. Front bumper cover replaced (color match to fenders is close, but not absolutely exact), some underbody replaced also.
- Oil changes with synthetic 0W-20 or 5W-20 (last at 121,496 miles, 0W-20).
- “Lifetime” (my ownership) 59.2 mpg on 185/60 tires. Should improve with OEM tires?
- Tires are generic brand (“Runway”) 185/60-14. Tires are old, with little tread, poor rain performance, and should be replaced. Wheels are original alloys in decent shape with typical scratches and chipping of finish, no major curb rash.
- Winter tires are 2 Blizzak WS50 and 2 Yokohama Ice Guard, all 185/60-14 (only size I could find when I bought), on Honda steel rims 14 x 5. Tires bought 12/2007, used 4 winter totaling 16,700 miles; tires are in good condition. Great for winter driving.
- New parts include front brake disks and pads (one disk was gouged somewhat so replacing both); spark plugs; air filter; cabin air filter; driver side mirror (tapped garage and cracked original)---all installed or being installed now.
- Stereo upgraded: Alpine CDA-105 CD/radio/USB/XM satellite radio, with satellite antenna on roof at rear of driver’s door, USB dongle exiting shifter console. Sony 6 ½” door speakers.
- Factory a/c works okay, though I do not use it much.
- I have had water leak into the cargo compartment on passenger side occasionally. Car is always garaged, so has not been a problem to me, but a recent major storm while driving home did get water inside.
- In addition to minor nicks, scratches, and chips, especially on the nose (see photos), there is a small patch of bubbling under the black paint of the driver’s door frame (see photo).

SOLD 10/23/2011---Please ask for more details or PM me. Thanks,

Duane.

thats a great price for a citrus in that condition and miles. I'd buy it if I had extra cash. This should sell quick.
