Clean seats
Hi.
I've recently bought a Gen 1 car that needed tidying. A couple of observations from the UK that might be of interest:
- Dirty seats clean up really well with a professional interior valet (shampoo etc), but wear doesn't. The specialist who cleaned my citrus seats commented that he 'just kept getting more dirt' out of them. The end result looks great, however.
- Refurbishing wheels involves cleaning, building out rim damage, enamelling, cutting back to a new profile, and lacquering. Not all wheel refinishers can do the diamond cut/lathe work. Be conscious that the replacement wheel centres are plastic and cannot be recut, so you'll need replacements and they are hard to find. If you want the centres to seat flush with the recut wheels then the rebate will need machining to match, so let the refurbishers know what you need.
Good luck with the search!
