Default UPDATE: Found! WTB: Gen1 Insight in California

I'm looking for a first generation Insight with:

-no accidents (clean title)
-5 speed
-cold A/C
-less than 120,000 miles
-no transmission grinds
-overall excellent condition

Please let me know if you have one for sale. I would prefer something in the bay area, but I'm willing to drive if it's a great deal.

-Dan

Hey I'm in San Jose too. An Insight that fits that criteria is going to be close to $8k-$9k around here. I sold one that had all of the above except 199k miles for $7500 last month (to a forum member). You're better off to travel out of CA and drive one back. Stay away from the north/east though. Rust is hard on the brake lines of our little cars.

I have seen/repaired a few that fit your criteria, but the owners are not selling those ones any time soon

Bring yours by once you get it, always fun to meet another owner

I would have liked to have bought the one you listed for Bill last month (red one), but I was a few days late. That one seemed ideal. I'm sure I'll find a nice example, I'm just hoping it's sooner than later.

Yeah Bill's was a gem. I did his trans too. Met the new owner, going to set him up with a grid charger. Sorry it wasn't you. I'll keep my eyes/ears open.

I have a silver 2000 MT that I am refreshing to sell, but it's realistically going to be Thanksgiving at least before it's ready.

This got posted yesterday. Low miles, but not clean title. It's still cleaner than my car though.
2003 Honda Insight Hatchback Hybrid, LOW MILES 61Kmiles, GET BEST MPG

I'll come down for a meet. Need to get a grid charger anyway.

They were not. Unless someone can post the Honda part #, I'm calling BS
