2000 insight Silver 35K
I don't usually get involved with this, but a very nice old gentleman in Cleveland area (Brook Park) that is starting to have old age memory issues is looking to sell his 2000 silver Insight, which has only 33K on the clock. We just got off the phone, so this is not a car that is being advertized anywhere as of yet, but I did suggest that he ask his sons to try and sell it for him, but he wanted to give people here the first shot.
According to him, the car has been well maintained, has new tires, new front brakes, has an upgraded radio (Nextar NCD91)and the IMA is working with no codes.
He read that not driving the car was not good for the batteries, and last year He and his two sons drove out and were one of the first chargers that was installed here.
His charger is #003, and is a GCIM1.
He also has a discharger which he purchaced only recently after reading that the discharger would further keep the batteries in the good zone.
SO the batteries are working fine, but are original with only 33K.
He is ready to stop driving due to the increasing memory issues, and would just like to sell the car and charger to a good home, and since he has been on a fixed income for many years, he can use the money.
Since he is having some communication difficulties, he asked if I could put out the word, and see if anyone is interested in the Insight community, and act as his agent.
so if anyone is interested, let me know, and we can try to get you in touch with him or his son that lives near him.
The kelly blue book value runs ~$10000 , so that is what he is looking for for the car, and the charger, discharger, better radio are included.
One of the guys was going to buy it, but had second thoughts about purchasing an extra Insight (he already has a nice one), so the car is still available. Contact me, and I can give you a contact phone number.
