Hi, thank you. The tranny and clutch are in great condition. I have driven a couple other Insights with that pop/grind in 2nd gear, and my fiancee's new (used and abused by the previous owner) has a 3rd gear grind, so I am familiar with that unfortunate feeling. I would consider the shifting to be exceptionally smooth in my M/T. Also, the previous (and only other) owner ONLY drove stick shifts and learned how to drive at 15 with stick only; they seemed to have cared for the car very well.
If you are interested you should know that I put some work into it-just some basics:
door speakers were BLAH, replaced them
installed rear speakers behind seats
CD player
changed tranny fluid
VERY recent: new brakes and rotors
all maintenance records maintained by me
many,but not all, records and receipts from previous owner
Need to take pictures during the day-the passenger side has a couple dents (maybe 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter) and scratches
Missing center wheel cap (haven't got lucky on ebay yet!)
glovebox was repaired by my fiancee/mechanic
and works great now (the latch that stops it from falling open all the way broke off)
the rear spoiler has the clear coat peeling off
