I have a 2002 insight cvt with around 90k that totaled the front end. I am working on this for my girlfriend (via her account, hence the name) and I looking for a few parts and also some advice to decide to repair it or sell the parts and overhaul it and swap in a bluetec diesel.
Very surprisingly, the frame is straight.
This car is in fairly rough shape from a frontal impact. I would be looking for:
- the main frontal support
( the cross member that is welded at the top and bolted to the hexagon shaft),
- the headlights,
- drivers
- fender,
- radiator,
- hood,
- hood latch bracket
- intake manifold and valve body
-airbags and controller
- any computers I should be aware of on this
I am also looking for advice on repairing/replacing a cracked transmission housing that broke, instead of the top transmission mount.
