About VIPs (Very Insightful People)
A quick F.A.Q. sheet to explain the role of VIP designations:
What is a VIP?
Earlier this month (12/2005), the InsightCentral.net Forum Team implemented a new V.I.P. (Very Insightful Person) status. This is our way of thanking the members that truly go above and beyond in helping other users or bring a special area of expertise to our group. VIP status is reserved for individuals who can be considered experts in their fields, and who have established a strong track record of helping other users.
How can I get nominated?
You cannot nominate yourself and members cannot nominate each other. Our VIPs are nominated by the Moderators' Team and undergo a serious review process. Once all the Moderators and the Admin agree on the nomination, it is officially approved and the member's account is upgraded.
I see some VIPs have different designations after their "VIP" rank. What are those?
Some VIPs are general VIPs, while others are VIPs in their specific area of knowledge or where they have been most helpful in the forum. One is not better than the other and the extra designations are simply our way of recognizing a specific area of expertise.
A huge thank you to all our VIPs for their wonderful contributions!
