Maybe its my clear wire internet service and xp laptop, but I am finding the pages are taking longer and longer to load. Many cases they seem to pause after the first two ads at the top download, then in the message area its waiting for htpp://googlea ds.g.double click.net]Google] and a bunch of garbage.
Anyway, what little I posted this afternoon took an hour and half. If this continues, I will post less than I do now since I have been a member.
Turning off graphics and java has speed it up some so I can at least get a full page to develop, but in some cases the search page alone for new posts takes 15 minutes to drop and if I refresh it says no new topis when I havent visited the site in at least 10 hours.

Reason: edit url to show source vs generic google link
The adds that load take about 3 times longer to load than the page itself... but even with that I have never had to wait more than ~20 seconds per page ... it is the slowest loading pages of any site I go to... but it is the only IC.
Yeah, having everything turned off, images, java, active x, etc makes the page load pretty fast. I did the usual scan, defag, clear cash, update browser, etc.
Many cases the new post page doesnt load and when I hit reload it says no new posts. Because of the slowness I click the button then go do something and watch the pc while watching tv. Sometimes I hit refresh and it will show back up.

I take it this was a recent change? I see that their new 4G upgrade has put some in a dead zone. You might want to check out clearwiresucks.com. Like Ian my loads are 20sec max.
edit: you've scanned, defragged, and cleared the cache. Try unplugging your modem and see if it loads a new config file is all I can think to add.
If your Web browser offers the option of not loading Adobe Flash, that might accelerate loading a bit. Click-to-Flash loaded into Safari under Mac OS X gives one the option of loading Flash content on a site-by-site basis. I see at least 4 Flash items on each IC page which I choose not to load.
If your Web browser supports loading some Cascading Style Sheet statements that prevent many ad-related requests from being sent during Web page loading, that could can help.
But basically, the Web page generation template that IC uses requires responses from a large number of requests before a page loads. Unfortunately, there's not much that one can do to reduce the number of requests sent.
When page loading is particularly slow, you might run a speed test on your Internet connection. You might find that you're not receiving the bandwidth that you expect. This can be especially true using Clear or any wireless Internet connection.
