Default Throttle circuits

Selloing the last of my throttle circuits on ebay. I reduced the price to 19.99 for a limited time. Once these are gone I am not making more. These work very well and pay for themselves. Heres a link. Honda Insight Throttle Circuit Saves gas! Cheap!:eBay Motors (item 220464445133 end time Aug-18-09 15:02:50 PDT)

I've had mine installed for the last 3 tanks now and can give a review.

I added about 15kgs worth of sound deadening and after the throttle circuit went in, Im averaging about 3-4 mpg more than prior to the deadening and TPS circuit. So its defo working.

I was worried about throttle response, but those worries were unfounded, you barely notice it.

Im not mad on the delay it takes to kick in a charge when you brake (about 1.5-2 seconds) or when you lift off going downhill (about 3-5 seconds).

My car has an old battery pack which recals every 10 days or so, so the lack of downhill re-gen can be annoying to me.

Experfabricator has been brilliant with feedback and communications.

I've had mine installed for a couple weeks now but the car is still down waiting on the IMA pack. I was worried too when I installed it so I set it up on plugs so it could just be disconnected if neccisary.

Speaking of which, Expert fab, is it possible to set up a switch on the ground wire to the box that would disable it as needed (if needed)? It's basically just a cap, right? That would solve Cole's problem as he could just turn it on for cuising when it works best.

Honestly I have not tried that idea out,but I like it. Putting the ground wire on a switch would disable the circuit. The only thing is if you switch it while the engine is running its possible to throw a check engine light. Would have to try it and see. If the check engine light does come on you can shut the car off ,pull the ecm fuse wait a few minutes. Then replace the fuse and restart the car code or check engine light will be gone. The factory manual shows details oh which fuse to pull and how long to wait. I like that switched ground idea and may try it myself. Just for me time is short and projects don't always get done as fast as I would like. Im driving to S.C. next week to pick up molds for more fiberglass products. I am also getting 2 molds for 1/4 scale weed wacker powered R/C boats.

As long as the TPS voltage remains in a valid range, you will NOT get a check engine light. Disabling ground should bring the TPS voltage back to normal spec. Doing it live (while driving) should be no different than quickly moving your foot on the gas pedal.

I have some long term experience with the TPS voltage as I have made a special circuit for the CVT transmission that modifies the TPS voltage going to the Transmission Control Module so that under light engine load (using MAP sensor voltage) the TPS voltage is reduced a bit so the CVT stays in a better ratio for better MPG....Under a more heavy load, the voltage goes back to near normal levels. This allows the ratio not to change (causing a loss in MPG) when going up very short slight incline hills.

Since you are not removing the voltage by flipping the switch (only modifying the voltage) and the voltage will remain in a valid range, I guarantee the ECM will not trigger a check engine light

Awesome Joe! Thanks for posting that. I am going to try this as soon as we get 28 hours in a day...lol. I will get to it just have to find time. This is great news though and thanks Joecvt and FLFYRFTR for developing this idea. I have 3 or 4 of these ckts left and remember they only work on the first gen 5 speed models.

I'm excited about this!! So If i get my mechanic to put a switch on the dashboard, to disable the ground, it will effectively go back to "normal" mode?

Im tenting my fingers and saying "Excellant" here.

I still have a couple of these circuits left for 20.00 each. If anyone wants one email me directly at Azenis29@aol.com. They work well and save $$$$. They are also simple to install. Mr Cole please email me your address in Ireland and I will gladly send you a schematic. Anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Shawn

Forgot to mention these fit the 2000 to 2006 manual transmission models only. They also come with color photo step by step directions to make the installation a snap. I also stand behind what I sell and offer assistance if needed.
