Wow, I had planned on picking up a manual transmission from him at some point as my syncro's are completly shot. Now I'm a little nervous that finding a decent MT in the future will become much more difficult!
Having busted up insights near me all day would make me sad I think.
Well they were rebuilding the two blue ones (no they aren't the same car). He fixes them up and sells them when he can. That's some positive karma to offset the van loaded with three cut-up Insight bodies that was being taken down to the recycler.
Once a business grows beyond a certain point, it becomes surreal. The extraordinary becomes ordinary. Brent's shop has possibly the largest collection of Insight parts on the planet. My shop has the largest number of IMA batteries outside of Honda's supply warehouse and wherever they store the bad batteries before (maybe) reusing the cells.
When visitors come, they have a hard time dealing with the sight of 60-100 batteries stacked in racks. For example, here are some junction boards:
