any fix for a squeaky clutch?

I got inside the car and squirted lube as best I could but it sounds like its outside the cabin...like under the hood.

I just got an insight today, and although the insight has a hydraulic trans as opposed to cable, check to see if there is a spring up near the top of the clutch pedal assembly, and if so a little blue high temp grease (or any thick grease, not spray lube) smeared all over the spring and its contacts quieted a creaking spring on my 91 civic hatch.
