Default Modified Japanese Insight Photo

I was on a site looking at some ugly modified cars from Japan and did a double take when I saw this:

as I was closing the window I thought, "wait a minute those headlights look like the k-sight headlights, was that and Insight?!" and it is. It's not so bad, especially when compared to some of the others (here, if you want to check them out). There are some people with crazy tastes in Japan!

Cool

I wouldn't want to drive that though.

I want one! That's neat...do you think the "step" makes up for any lack of aerodynamics from taking off the tire fenders? He's probably not worried about that though!

I think our rear wheel skirts are more unique and look better.
This junk makes it look like any other boy racer car and just adds weight and increases drag Yuk!

Considering the fact the Insight is made out of aluminum & should last a long long time, I always planned that after IMA died I would be using the Insight as a rolling chassis for a project car.

Horrid.

Typical wide mouthed "combat" style bumper that doesn't match the existing lines of the car, poorly matched side skirts and cheap vinyl on the headlights.

Must either have crazy-thick wheels to make the rears stick out that far into the wells, or massive spacers.

I'm with you, Aaron. Overall, yuuuck.

But the white! And the mirrors! I even like the shaved hood... and the white spoked wheels are killer, too...
