Default Current ebay auction - be very wary of this one

Howdy,

One current ebay auction, item #320255987107, just about to end, is selling an Insight that might be currently misrepresented.

Going by the VIN on the ebay page (jhmze14732t000063), this car was up on the sfbay craigslist site last week. I was going to go out to look at it last Saturday, and e-mailed and called the seller. I'd actually gone so far as to run the VIN past two local dealers, so it's a good VIN.

In the _original_ craigslist post, he'd mentioned that the car had had (paraphrased here) "substantial front end damage to it in 2003". (and a cracked windshield and a RH speaker cutting in and out)

After about two days, he posted a changed sales notice not including mention of the FE damage. The old notice lingered until late this week.

Now, remember that this ebay seller might another guy. I'm not implying that the current seller is withholding info.

However, it's a guarantee that the car's the same.

Hope this helps out somehow -

-Jeff

Default Re: Current ebay auction - be very wary of this one

The auction ended with a sale price of $12,908.00.

I also remember the original Craigslisting for this car. As I recall, the Craigslist asking price was substantially lower.

Adding to the intrigue, the eBay buyer has ZERO feedbacks.

We'll see if this one stays sold, or pops back up again in a few days.
