Default Better headlamps

I want to replace my stock headlamps with the H4 Osram Silverstar +50% - getting them is easy, but how the heck do you pull out the old ones and install the new ones? I can see one of the rear connectors (the one on the drivers side) but unless my hands are flat as a pancake and I have eyeballs on the ends of my fingers, this must not be how you get to them. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nick

there's rubber dust covers that pull off then the wiring plug will pull off....finally a metal clip holds the bulb in.

....and I would recommend Silverstar ULTRA bulbs ---- brighter, whiter light.

Can you get to the dust covers and the clips from the top? Are the ultras better than the +50%? On another subject - I am going to go synthetic when I do my next oil change - why did you pick the viscosity that you did?

Thanks,
Nick

honda calls for 0w20 in the insight, and the manual states that you can run 0w30 or 5w30 as a backup.

be careful with the coolant overflow bottle. when i reinstalled mine after replacing the headlamps i didnt notice that the little tube inside the bottle connected to the cap had fallen off into the coolant. after a few days of driving all the coolant had been pumped out of the system! mucho hotness for my little engine! no damage though. found the problem, put the tube back on the nipple, serviced the system, and been driving it ever since.

Armrest King in Canada makes a nice unit for $96.00 US shipped. Took about a week to get to SoCal after I ordered online. Very prompt service!

I've had one in my 2000 Insight for 3 weeks now and like it very much. Some think it pricey, but I believe it is a good value and well worth the money. I painted the mounting base gray to match the Ebrake console. Rather than drill holes into my console and use the included screws, I mounted mine with silicone seal. It looks factory!
