Default Is this oil ok to use?

I just went to my Honda dealer to get some oil for the car and was given this stuff. Its 0w-20 as is recomended. I didnt really look at the label apart from the weight till I got home when I noticed it is mineral oil!! But it says it is specifically designed for Honda ultra fuel efficient vehicles. Will it be ok to use?

Surely if honda supply this then it is ok?! I just dont understand why everybody insists it must use fully synthetic if the OE oil is mineral.

Relax, that is the right stuff. The runniest oil you will ever see and great for maximising MPG's. My only word of caution is to check what oil was used in your Insight previously before adding / topping up with this oil - it would be much better to buy another two of these (& filter perhaps?) then use 2.5 litres of it for a complete oil change.

Thats a relief, thanks. I actually bought 10 bottles of the stuff to keep me going for a few months!! I will hopefully be giving it an oil change this weekend.

Cheers

Filter as well of course.

I personally use the synthetic stuff but I suspect it depends what Honda UK have available as they did supply me with the mineral version once.

Of course!! Nver fear, Im not new to servicing cars. This is my 9th Honda in 3 years and I am an engineer by trade. An oil change doesnt exactly phase me.

I've got an old jeep with a cannister oil filter. You can come over to my house and change the oil any time you want!
