I mounted mine to the left of the dash, kind of behind the window pillar after running my connector line up the left side. Does not cut out forward vision but easy to see.

I glued a Hard drive magnet to the top of mine. Added a small tab of galvanized sheet metal (ducting) held in place with Gorilla Tape (black) to the bottom of my GPS mount. I will be adding a similar metal tab to my wife's car. The magnet works great!

I like it on the top of the dash to enable you to watch the LOD and LBN gauges and the road while driving in the safest possible manner.

The pic is of my sight line view while seated. I'm 6' tall.

I used the enclosed Velcro, cut it in half and put one piece near each end of the unit. Holds fine.
I mounted mine a little tot he left, as to be flat with the bezel. It looks good to me, but is out of my line of sight, and it keeps turning off when I go into FAS .

Anyway, truthfully, I don't find it that useful. It's not affected my MPG. I'd spend the money on a grid charger/MIMA first. For me, the data is "interesting" not "actionable".

You need to program your ScanGageII (under "Engine," I believe, check your menu options) for "Hybrid," so it stays on continuously.

I'm more concerned with theft than bad driving for fifty yards. At many of our social functions here in Big D, self-parking is not an option... but then again, if it's that type of function, we'll usually drive the Benz...
