Default Where did you mount your Scangauge?

My Scangauge just arrived.

I'm undecided on where to mount it.

Suggestions?

I like it on the top of the dash to enable you to watch the LOD and LBN gauges and the road while driving in the safest possible manner.

The pic is of my sight line view while seated. I'm 6' tall.

I used the enclosed Velcro, cut it in half and put one piece near each end of the unit. Holds fine.

Under the stereo. Drilled a hole in the plastic above the lighter socket for the cable, then easily tied in into the OBDII port. I used the velco to attach it. Works great, out of the way. Easy to see. Only drawback is really tall coffee mugs have to be put into the cup holders with some finesse.

Right above the speedo, just like JnG. But where do you run the cord? Mine's kind of sitting on the dash, to the right of the heater controls, flopping around. Maybe I should put velcro on it, too.

The cord is long enough to go to the left side of the dash, press into the rubber next to the door jam, back right next to the hood pull, under the dash in front of the shifter base and into the ORB2 plug by the passenger's left foot.

I installed it just over the rear view mirror..

I had to extend the cable with cat5. I then passed it by the "A" pillar on the passenger side and then inside the furniture on the roof near the windshield. I fixed it to the mirror with the supplied velcro.

Velcroed under the center dash console. Easy view and reach. Usually have the cord held up out of the way with a zip tie.

Satchel: That's just where I mounted mine. I drilled a hole behind it and fed the cable from the OBDII up behind the dash through the hole and plugs into the ScanGuage. Works like a charm.

Blendmount sells an above-the-rearview-mirror mount. I have one. It works well.

Mine is above the mirror as well, complete with the extension cat5 cable with male/male connector. But I used an old GPS suction-cup mount I McGyvered to work with the ScanGage II. You can't see it behind the mirror, but I can adjust it so the top of the SCII just touches the mouse fur on the ceiling, preventing any vibration at all. And I can angle it to see it perfectly. Plus, it's instantly removable for use in other cars, or hiding from unethical valet parkers.
