At one time when I was missing a screw and the clip the screw goes into was broken I used a 1/4" "tee nut" with the 3 aluminum points nipped off with a wire cutter, and the slotted machine screw that comes with the tee nut. The threaded extension on the tee nut was just the right length to bottom out the screw so that nothing was compressed beyond what it should be. Available at most good hardware stores, cheap enough to keep extras.

Unless you are doing something like MIMA, almost any mod is going to have a negative impact on performance and efficiency. If you don't like the look of the fender skirts or the narrow rear axle, there is nothing stopping you from customizing your car. There will be a price to be paid for the change in terms of MPG, just as there would be for changing to a more comfortable riding better handling set of tires.

Except for MIMA I have not been convinced that there is a mod worth considering for improving on any performance parameter. I keep an open mind, so I will keep watching this website.
yeah, i really dont care.

I'm with Tadpole. You wouldn't do it to a Citroen DS so why an Insight. In England you could get horse-whipped for less. Can't wait for the first rag top.

has nothing to do with "trolling" y0!

has to do with not really caring what people here think because they obviously put their $.02 when threads are asked about making the insight perform better in terms of handling, speed or looks.
