Default crx, insight and cr-z content

I went to N16 this past weekend. It is the annual CRX meet in Niagara Falls, ON Canada. Honda Canada brought with them a CRZ. Here are some pictures.

Nice... The CR-Z is a nice-looking car... but I just can't see a sporty hybrid selling in any significant quantities with a <40mpg projection. It's going to be another Insight˛ as far as a market success. Honda drives me crazy sometimes...

I miss my old CRX. It was my favorite car of all time until I got the Insight.

I put 348K on it and only got rid of it because the body was literally falling apart (too many Ohio winters + road salt = ouch).

Is the reason for the CRZ's poor MPG rating simply due to its weight?

I think the low mpg is from the epa letting the folks at pop science drive it along their track. Some other i2 owners have driven it and got a little over 60mpg. Still, I think its going to be a challenge to get triple digits like with the first insight.

I love the CR-Z, but wish they wouldn't have left out the back seats in this market! WTF Honda?!
