I parked my car and turned on all the possible lights and that Front Parking Light (FPL) doesn't turn on. Is it simply out of bulbs? or is not suppose to be on US models?
If it's something "junkie" part of US model, I was wondering if anyone turned that FPL to DRL. I own a delsol and it has an Aux light which only turns on if headlight is on. However, with a few wire switching, in fact only 2 wires, it turns on and off without headlight turned on, so I'm using it for DRL.

Anyone done?
I've test drove a few of the insights before buying one.. The parking lights make the light you are indicating turn on. If you signal, they blink as well. Most likely the bulbs burnt out and the previous owner never replaced them.

The Canadian Insights use the high beam filiment on reduced power for a daytime running light. They come on when the parking brake is released and go out when the regular headlights are turned on.
Indeed your parking light bulbs must have burned out. I've had to replace one of mine as well.
No need to bother, i have done this and the two round parkinglights are too small to be seen in daylight / to be used as DRL.
I agree. I've been attempting to use my parking lights as DRL's while driving through Sweden and Norway. Drivers have been flashing their headlights at me because they don't think that I have proper DRL's turned on. Low-beam headlights or fog lights would suffice, but I have not wanted to use my low-beam headlamps as DRL's.
I have considered replacing the 5W parking light bulbs with LED's as bright as I can find that require no more than 5W power. I think that faxe may have done this but without success, so I am concerned that they would not be bright enough to be seen clearly.
Instead, I am considering installing in the bumper on both sides of the lower center air intake a string of bright LED's like Audi and Mercedes use. Is there room behind the bumper to install any sort of lights in this location? I realize that I would need to cut holes in the plastic bumper cover.
I did not wire the lights separately, as Art writes, i put in some new
bright LED bulbs in my parkinglights, and tried driving with only the
parkingligts on, and in bright daylight they are barely visible at all.
The small round parkinglights are simply too small.
Art: If you do not want to cut holes in your front bunper, you could
try the selfadhesive strings of LED's.
Thomas / TRI are currently digging into this.

When we turn on the parking light, it turns on the signal light and tail light.
What if there is a way to turn on only signal light and not to turn on the tail light and make the tail light to be turned on when night driving light is on.
We rarely turn on only the parking light and drive right?
What do you guys think? Usually turn signal light is much brighter than those two small round lights.
